The car thermometer read 3C at about 10am, there is a moderate south westerly breeze, its raining and it feels really cold, especially compared to a few days ago. Although it has stopped me doing what I wanted outside I don't think I'd want it any other way; it makes me appreciate the better weather more.
Crianlarich It is lurching fro one thing to another here. Overnight Sunday we got snowed in. It was gobsacking how fast we got covered - So much for Spring! Monday had heavy rain and sleet, which washed away quite a bit of the snow, though not on the hills. Now we are in from Storm Gareth! By the way what happened to F, we had Erik, was F so soon after that I thought it was the same storm?
Crianlarich Well it has got to 5C. What a wild and windy night, and a bit of thunder and lightening. I dispair for the poor Montain Rescue people. There have been 10 avalanches in the last 48 hours, 3 deaths, 4 badly injured and loads of people lost. They must be worn out! Two envolved three helicopters from different bases, 4 other Mountain Rescue teams, the Police and rangers. It must have cost a fortune. I cannot understand people taking to the mountains in such weather and ignoring the warnings. The bravery of the Mountain Rescue teams, who go out putting their own lives at risk for the sake of others. (that is me - rant over!)
