After a very wet night, my mid-morning it became pretty sunny so we went for a walk in the local country park. A beautiful day with some lovely autumn colour but not many birds, but while watching a couple of tits a Red Admiral came flying through + landed on a flattened part of a nettle bed. It looked pretty fresh.
Another (possibly the last for a few days!) good day for butterflies. Locally Brimstones + Small whites were most numerous but another male Orange-tip + along the Brent near Ealing Hospital my first Speckled Wood of the year.
