This was so well done... I always like the bit at the end where they show 'how it was done' and the incredible patience of the film crew. Over a year that took them to make! Personally, I would be a bit leery of how well those lions become accustomed to the jeeps and vehicles... they just stroll around, completely unconcerned.
We've still got the wild dogs recorded and yet to watch- looking forward to that one.
We watched it, and you're right... it was really sad.
That whole business of the clan rivalries wouldn't have happened if they'd had enough territory- but that's entirely down to human over-expansion.
That was the case with the lions and tigers, too- thank goodness the park rangers came and tranquillised the tigeress and got her back into the reserve.
There's too many of us, and when you add greed for land and wasteful habits into the mix- it's not good.
I think it's funny (in a non-funny sort of way) that governments waste so much money on space programs that are looking for 'intelligent' life out in the cosmos.
Personally, I think if aliens are intelligent, they're going to be giving us as wide a berth as possible. All one has to do it look at what happened to the Native Americans when us lot landed on their shores.
No self-respecting alien (and anyway- wouldn't it be us that are the aliens??) is going to let an Earthling anywhere near their planet!
