When I've things to do or it's duff weather the dog gets a short walk in the morning around the wood over the road. Today I took the camera with me for a few snaps in the early morning sunshine
The daffs have died back and the bluebells are all up now 'we get blue, white and purple here' I suspect most are hybrids.
The yellow archangel and green alkanet are in flower too.
As for the Oak tree I'm amazed every time I look at it, you can see right through it nowadays. I remember quite some years ago there was a large and quite beautiful growth of chicken of the woods fungus on it 'I've a photo somewhere' and for sure this among other fungi I've seen on it are to blame for it's state today The last photo was taken on my phone last week woodland fairybells only seen them once or twice must be escapees, still very pretty I'll try to get back when there open ian
