I've become a little obsessed with the live streaming recently and check out the view most days. Often it's showning endless cloud or water but yesterday I caught an impressive view of the Andes poking through the cloud cover and a nice image of the coast of Paraguay (or it could have been Argentina!)
Know what you mean, Alf. As you say it is often cloud but now and then there is a clear patch that reveals the outline of continents.
I still find it amazing that we can link into something like the ISS. I count myself lucky to have lived through the transition from no personal computers(and precious few computers outside academia) and no internet, to what we have today.
