The robin is just full of himself at the moment- his main ambition in life is to rid the garden (and the entire country, if he can manage it) of sparrows.
The sparrows, needless to say have plans of their own. They abdicate to the front garden to eat from the feeder there, and just when poor Robin thinks his mission has been a success... they all come back again! and then he has to start all over again.
He scurries from one end of the garden, seeing sparrows off the sunflower seeds, the fatballs, and off the birdtable if the jays aren't around. Every now and again he finds himself a high perch so that he can survey his domain... and on the rare occasions when it's sparrow-free, he simply beams with pride. All's right with the world.
