The weather has been very erratic so far this summer- going from a heatwave back down to lower than usual temps for this time of year... and there's been flooding and non-stop rain in some areas up north.
I'd settle for average temps and a little bit of sunshine at the moment!
I've been in NW Scotland for the last couple of weeks and, apart from the obvious delights of the area, was very pleased to have been away from the south of England. 30+C is way too high for me (22C is about my limit).
Some rain but a lot of just pleasantly warm weather. However, I agree the weather has had some quirks this summer. This morning was, for this time of year, very windy and yesterday afternoon was a strange, but very pleasing, combination of a fairly chilly east wind and a lot of very hot sunshine.
Been on Jura last week and back on Sunday - manic since. Had one lovely day of sunshine and 1/2 a day of sunshine, the rest was overcast, bit of rain odd flash of sunshine. but hey! it was so lovely and peaceful - almost had the place to ourselves - passed the odd car, few people in the villages, no broadband - well for about 1/2 a day each day.
Crianlarich 16C Wind SSE8. At least the wind is keeping the midges away!
